Since June of 1981, rural DeLeon Springs has been my Family home. My parents created a space where the whole family would gather to laugh, sing, and even cry. I was raised by two blue-collar hard working parents, who never let me want for anything. I learned the value of hard work, the importance of family supporting each other in the pursuit of their dreams and the importance of making memories with the ones you love.

For 25 years, I called DeLand home and that’s where I made my name as a Disc Jockey and Events Specialist. I find true joy in watching a bride smile and know you helped make their day unforgettable. Since 2006 I have also been deeply involved in shaping the political landscape in our area, fighting for average citizens, never large corporations. From shaping the message of several campaigns to being elected myself and serving for 2 terms as a Commissioner of the West Volusia Hospital Authority, I truly love serving the community. As a public official, I worked directly for the working poor and I learned how critical it is for EVERYONE to have access to health care, be able to afford the basics of life and feel safe in our communities.

It’s time for marginalized, ignored and forgotten Floridian’s to have a REAL voice in Tallahassee, and to let them know they are heard. I will be your voice!

Prosperity
Low-income, working-class and middle class Floridians are hurting
Rents are skyrocketing, and with the ever-rising cost of property insurance, the American Dream of homeownership is out of reach for too many of us. In the 20 years of republican-controlled state government, only giant corporations have gotten help from Tallahassee, but the rest of us are facing massive challenges that are never addressed.
Andy will fight for:

Property Insurance Relief for homeowners and NOT bailouts for corporations.

Floridians should feel safe
All across the State, Floridians are worried about the rising crime rates and an astonishing increase in gun violence. Then, in 2023 the Republican Super Majority made it legal to carry a gun without a permit, background check or training.
Andy will fight back by:

Supporting universal background checks for gun purchases while respecting the rights of the responsible gun owners.

Working with law enforcement and leaders from both sides of the aisle to strengthen trust between police officers and communities.

Health
Every Floridian deserves to be Healthy
We ALL deserve lower costs for QUALITY healthcare. Florida is one of only 11 states that have never expanded Medicaid since the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010. If elected, I will fight for Medicaid Expansion

Floridians should be free of Discrimination
